Green Shakes for Weight Loss
Here are five easy to prepare recipes of green shakes to lose weight.1. Celery and Apple Shake:
Ingredients:- Water – 1 cup
- Romaine lettuce – 1 bunch, finely chopped
- Organic celery – 3 stalks
- Spinach – ½ a bunch
- Pear – 1, preferably organic
- Green apple – 1, preferably organic
- Juice of one lime – freshly squeezed
- Add romaine lettuce along with to a blender and blend at low speed until the mixture becomes a smooth one.
- Mix in spinach, celery, pear and apples and blend thoroughly at high speed.
- Add a splash of lime juice and serve cold.
2. Cucumber and Mint Shake:
Ingredients:- Spinach – 1 bunch, chopped
- Mint – 1 sprig
- Parsley – 1 sprig
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Cucumber – 1, preferably organic
- Celery stalks – 1 cup, chopped
- Ginger root – 1 inch, peeled, finely chopped
- Ice cubes – 4
- Add all the ingredients to the blender, except the ice cubes.
- Blend at high speed to get a smooth shake.
- Transfer to a tall glass, top with ice cubes, and serve.
3. Mixed Green Shake:
- Water – ¾ cup
- Green grapes – 1 cup
- Pineapple – ¼ cup
- Spinach – 1 cup, finely chopped
- Romaine lettuce – 1 cup
- Ice cubes – 1 cup
- Add all the ingredients to blender, except the ice cubes.
- Blend at high speed to get a smooth shake.
- Allow to chill, top up with ice cubes, and serve.
4. Citrus Green Shake:
Ingredients:- Water – 1 cup
- Broccoli – 8 florets, medium sized, chopped
- Celery – 4 stalks, medium
- Tangerine – 1, large
- Ginger – ½ tsp, finely grated
- Blend celery with tangerine and water for 30 seconds at high speed.
- Add broccoli and ginger on high speed for 60 seconds.
- Transfer to a glass, chill, and serve.
5. Pineapple-Spinach Shake:
Ingredients:- Pineapple – 1 cup, chopped
- Spinach – 1 cup, chopped
- Fresh parsley – ¼ cup
- Ginger – ½ tsp, freshly grated
