For measuring the prosperity of any country, one of the most important metrics is the per capita energy consumption. Several countries of the world are making dauntless moves towards a sustainable energy future with an emphasis on energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy resources. A finite planet cannot support infinitely increasing consumption of the resources and hence the motto of the present times must be to “REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE”.
Energy conservation is the need of the hour that calls for
monitoring energy consumption and to pin point sources of wastages. In the
present energy scenario and era of industrial competition, energy conservation
and auditing has become a vital part of any industrial activity.
